L’Oreal Fiberceutic Treatment

Hair Miracle!

WHAT:L’Oreal Fiberceutic ‘Hair Botox’ treatment.
Devised by experts at L’Oreal Professional, the magic formula contains molecules that seek out and attach themselves to areas of damaged keratin – the protein which makes up hair fibers. Then, according to the inventors, the molecules get extra busy by penetrating the hair shaft to seal gaps and breakages. On top of that, vitamins and glossing agents can be added to the serum at the same time, giving longer-lasting results than other conditioning treatments, which sit on top of hair strands and need to be reapplied every time the hair is washed. Kay Connelly, technical director for L’Oreal Professional, said: ‘Hair is not a living organ and we don’t feel pain when it is cut. But one end of it is deeply embedded in the skin of the scalp and, at one time, it has been alive. Our aim as hairdressers is to beautify hair to maintain its living sense, rather than allow it to continually dehydrate over time and fall off and crumble, like leaves off a tree. In the same way that skin ages and needs replenishing, so does hair. The cortex fractures from daily aggressions, such as brushing and blow drying, chemical treatments or excess sun, and when it becomes fractured it stops hair looking healthy, smooth and shiny. This product is different because it allows hair to repair itself from the molecule finds the damaged fibers and is able to change its structure to create a network or mess which plugs holes in the hair and gives it its substance back’.The molecule, which has the trademark name Intra-Cylane, is so far only available through salons and has to be applied by hair-dressers.

WHERE:  Professional hair salons
HOW LONG:
One hour (including blow-dry).
THE TREATMENT:
The procedure starts with L’Oreal Fiberceutic Shampoo and Conditioner. After hair is washed and prepared for treatment, a blend of L’Oreal Fiberceutic Intra-Cylane Hair Filling Serum is applied to the hair via what looks like a big. The serum coats each strand and then a L’Oreal Fiberceutic Masque is massaged over the top to make sure the mixture fully penetrates the strands and scalp. Then 20 minutes under the hair steamer follows before a quick rough dry finishes it all off, unless you pay extra for a proper blow-dry. You then repeat the process once a week for four weeks until the full effects kick in.

THE RESULTS:
L’Oreal Fiberceutic Hair Botox treatment works by penetrating the hair strands, helping the locks repair themselves. With special molecules that seek out and attach themselves to keratin-lacking areas, damaged tresses are restored and volume is boosted, but only after four consecutive appointments.

Tinted moisturizer: Givenchy AND Laura Mercier

 Good mixes!

It may seem a bit redundant to use a product with the word “moisturizer” in the name if you already have oily skin. A good quality tinted moisturizer should protect skin while keeping moisture production in check and evens your skin tone. Clear, balanced skin with light coverage works best if you don’t like to feel you have makeup on. If you thought you couldn’t wear makeup because it never stays in place, or causes blemishes, or feels too thick take a different approach with a tinted moisturizer. Here are two of my favourite tinted moisturizers with SPF which I mix together!

Information of both brands

Givenchy is one of the oldest cosmetics company in the world. this is one of the most popular international brands on the planet. This is a runny more liquid formulation than many tinted moisturisers but I happen to favour this type of texture as it applies easily and leaves a feather light finish. Those with even the most fickle skin types will find they can wear Givenchy. This brand focuses on preventing premature aging, and moisturizing where skin needs it most. Yes, Givenchy is confident even a tinted moisturizer can do just that.
Why Laura Mercier is great because it is easy to use and meets your "sun protection, moisturizer and light foundation needs." It moisturizes while leaving a tint of color, which readers say saves time by "doing two things at once." "This has to be one of the best beauty buys out there," says one confident reader. "It is very natural, so you don't look like you are wearing any makeup. You simply look like you have beautiful skin." And although readers mention the high price, they all say the compliments they get are "well worth it!"

How to apply tinted moisturizer:

1.       Wash your face with a good facial wash

2.       Use cotton to wipe your face with a toner

3.       Squeeze each tinted moisturizer on your hand and mix them

4.       Spread evenly onto your face

 Now why I mix both?

Sometimes, the full coverage of foundation isn't wanted or needed. This is especially true in the warmer months, when a full face of makeup feels stifling and melts off in the heat. Laura Merciers’ tinted moisturizer has the perfect caramel shade that matches my face color however it is very dry as it is oil free, so I mix it with the Givenchy tinted moisturizer which gives it a sparkle and an amazing glow finish. Thank goodness for tinted moisturizer! A little color coverage paired with sun protection makes for a comfortable, sheer makeup routine perfect for your active lifestyle.
